Is there any solution for preferences crash?

My system.

CPU : AMD 5800X

GPU : Gigabyte RTX 3080  Gaming OC

RAM : 64GB with xmp

OS : Windows 11 (build 22621.2134)

 

After effects crashes when open preferences.

 

I don't know why it crashes, but i saw a post on reddit

On comment, he said graphics drivers downgrade at 517.48, it works for me.

 

why graphics drivers occured crashing preferences?

and how can i solve this with latest drivers?

Hey there,

I'm sorry to hear about the crash. Users in the community have reported stability issues with NVIDIA drivers released after 517.40. NVIDIA mentioned that these issues were fixed this issue in driver release 531.41 (check release notes) and later versions.

 

If you're experiencing issues with the most recent Studio Drivers, we'd like to investigate this issue.

Please hold down ctrl + alt + shift and launch After Effects. Select the Start in Safe Mode option and keep the 3rd party plugins enabled in the first launch.

 

Let us know if After Effects still crashes in Safe Mode while opening the preferences with the most recent Studio Drivers installed.

If you can recall which studio drivers did you install? im having the same issue and i want to be sure what im installing will work.
