IT informed me that the Mocha AE plugin may introduce a security vulnerability on my computer related to Adobe After Effects. Is this accurate?

My IT Manager mentioned that Mocha AE may introduce a vulnerability on my MacBook Pro and has advised me to remove it. Before doing so, I would like to confirm whether removing all Mocha AE–related plugins could cause Adobe After Effects to crash or generate errors.
