Keyboard shortcuts sometimes get stuck only working in plugin window

I'm not really sure if this is an issue someone's posted about before but I had trouble finding the right words for a google search - 

Basically, sometimes when I have a separate plugin window open, after using the plugin and clicking back into my comp timeline again, my keyboard shortcuts will activate functions in the plugin window instead of main After Effects. I use a plugin called AEJuice Pack Manager 4 and the only way to get the keyboard shortcuts to work normally again is to waste time and close and open the plugin window.

I'm curious if this is an issue with this specific plugin, but has anyone else had this problem? I'm using After Effects version 22.4.
