Hi,

New to AE and looking for best way to isolate the feet in this clip and remove the background. The feet rotate a bit, so tracking will obviously be involved. There are also police lights flashing through the clip, so the color changes accordingly. I need to isolate the legs and feet to lay them over another image as an opacity blend.

What would be the best way to go about this? I can't seem to find any tutorials that address the issues I'm confronting.

You have a couple of options open to you.

1. You can create a mask and track the mask as you go.

Then track the mask: https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/rigid-mask-tracking.html

2. Use the mocha planer tracker if the Ae tracker does not give you the desired results.
