Keylight 1.2 not appearing when clicked on

Did anybody have the problem that when clicking on Keylight 1.2 in After Effects it simply does not open. I want to do some greenscreening and obviously I need keylight for that but it simply does not pop up when I click on it. Does anybody know what to possibly do about it?

Is the Effect Controls tab showing? What do you see when you choose Effects > Effect Controls?

Also, after applying Keylight, does it show under the Layer in the Timeline panel? Or, if you select the Layer and then press "e" on the keyboard, does Keylight show as an applied effect?

so when I click on effect (between layer and animation) and then on keylight 1.2 nothing happens..it does show up when I press E. but what i found that works alternatively is when I go to effects & presets and then search for keylight 1.2 and then drag it on the video.

Now that you have Keylight applied via drag and drop, are you able to pull a key on your video?
