Lag after numeric or text input to afx effects controls

Question

Hello, a strange and intermittent issue:

When inputting numbers into the interface \(eg transform/scale) after effects accepts the input after 3 seconds, then takes another 3-4 seconds before updating the preview monitor.

I've tried reboots, and resetting the preferences, restarting the software, but the problem persists.

I'm on the latest version (as of jan 21st 2022).

System specs are good ryzen 5950, 128 Gb ram, rtx 2060 super with latest studio drivers.

Any help much appreciated, this is quite frustrating!

No good answer, really, just keep fiddling with your graphics driver. Also check your input device settings. Sometimes even trivial stuff like a bad mouse timing can cause redraw errors. Same if you have customized the UI in any way or use a specific monitor profile.
