Large EXR file won't open

I have a huge EXR file that won't open in AE. I get this error can anyone explain why I can't open this?

I have 160gigs of ram on my Mac!

I recommend getting a smaller version or converting the file to a smaller version. When you go to output I don't think you'll be able to output this size so using such a large format is probably more of a headache than it's worth.

But I have read that Ae supports up to 30,000x30,000px. So why do you suggest this. Is adobe making claims that are false?
