Latest update broke something

When I open AE files that was saved  12 hours ago, it opens the file as converted and showed two errors. Converted file comp is blank, everything is missing!!!

No, but I found cause via Google. Missing fonts was the cause, for some reasons my font manager wasn't active. Everything works properly after restarted the font manager. 

 

It's odd that missing fonts can cause this kind of errors. A missing font message like the ones from AI and PS would be great.

@Douglas_Waterfall This particular file uses just one font.

Can you tell me something more about the kinds of fonts you are using in the is project? Any Variable fonts for example?

 

We do report missing fonts when we are unable to find something close enough, and I am wondering if this part of the process has gone bad. I know of one possible path that I am trying to eliminate.

 

Any hints or clues that you might be able to pass on about what happened here might be useful to me.

Do you have any other version of AE installed on your machine? The Beta perhaps?
