Layer part of panel is too big

I tried everything but i cannot make the layer part in the timeline smaller! Please help

Technically you don't have any composition open (probably you haven't created a new comp). This is why you can't modify the width of your columns. Create a new composition and try again

Click & Drag over the red circles. Also you can right click over a column and use the Hide Column command.
