Layers are visible solo, but not with the whole comp

I have two layers (shape layer/solid layer) that have effects on each of them. For some reason, though, they don't appear in the preview render or the final render. They're visible as normal when I solo the two layers, but they don't show with the rest of the comp. I've tried precomposing them together, unrasterizing any other layers, clearing cache, changing the layer modes between Normal/Add > Screen, but no luck whatsoever. This is the final step for this project, and I was hoping to add it to a video project this afternoon. Any thoughts?
