Layers from Photoshop in after effects

Hello,

 

I try to import a PSD file in after effects, but it doesn't give me the pop-up to include al my layers.

is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

 

Made the first design in illustrator and saved it as a PSD, then edit it in photoshop, but stil saved as PSD.

 

So i can import it as a file, but it doesn't give me the pop-up to make layers, it gives me a 1 layer of the whole file.

Show us screenshots of the file in PS with the layers palette visible as wel las the result in AE and the import dialog. That said, the most likely reasonj the file opens flattened is because it is in a wrong color mode liek CMYK, which of course is not what AE uses.

    Hi Mylenium,

     

    After your reaction i realised and checked the file in illustrator is indeed in CMYK.

    I fixed that and all works fine now!

    I just checked on my system and properly prepared PSD and AI files import as compositions just fine. What version of AE are you running and what is your OS?

      Problem was it was in CYMK as Mylenium pointed out, but thanks for your reaction!
