Layers overlap when imported in AE

Hi,

I made an illustration in Illustrator, and saved the file with the right layers.

When importing into After Effects, I chose 'Composition - Retain Layer Sizes' (also tried just 'Composition' btw)

After importing, the different layers are all still there, but they are all centered in the middle. So they're all 'on top' of each other.

For instance, I would make a composition in Illustrator with 4 squares, all in a different corner of the artboard. Every square is saved as a different layer. After importing in After Effects, the 4 squares are all overlapping in the middle of the frame.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks!

Sarah

Correct answer Mylenium

You need to choose Document Size to retain correct positioning, not layer size.
