Lessons from using AE full-time over the last year

Avoid updating app whenever possible. If you do be prepared for files not opening, dynamic links to .aep in Premiere breaking and as a result huge delays in getting projects done. Anything with Cineware being used can result in files you can no longer open unless you stay in whatever version you created them in.
 Adobe will tempt you with new features. Run away and only update if there is no other choice. Having said all that when AE and Premiere work they are great. 😛  

Updating generally means things will break.
