Link to illustrator files being corrupted in After Effects.

Third project in which I had to resave illustrator file with a different name and re-import all vector art because the dynamic link between After Effects and Illustrator is being corrupted.

AE version 23.4.0 (Build 53)

Sorry for the frustration. We've got your back.

Where your After Effects project and Illustrator files are stored? Are they saved in a folder that's synced with the cloud? Could you test if you get this error in the latest version of After Effects?

They are not synced with the cloud. I work locally and then use my company's networked drive to back up. I will update AE and see if the problem persists although I need to get some work out as I've been hampered by this problem so might be a day.

What kind of network is it? I've seen a similar issue when files are stored in the Dropbox folder and will not relink when the project is opened. And changing the name or the location of the file helps. We're investigating that issue. It'd be great if you could share a screen recording of the issue for further investigation in your case.

Also, try reproducing this on the latest version of After Effects whenever you can.
