Linking Layer start/in point to keyframe or marker.
I want to know if it's possible to link the 'start' or 'in' point of a pre-comp to a keyframe or marker on a Null Object.
Some context: I'm making a complex 2D grid system of footage, whereby tiles are always animating in and out in various ways. To try and minimise the number of keyframes, and to keep the movements as accurate and consistent as possible, I'm parenting all the tiles to Null Objects for the moves.
Each time a new tile/pre-comp moves in to frame, the footage it contains needs to be playing from the start. I know that the timing of this animation will be changed a lot before it's finished. So ideally I'm looking for a way of being able to change the timing of the position keyframes without also having always to shift the layers around to keep them lined up.
I know it's possible to link animation keyframes to Markers to make retiming animation much quicker. But I don't know if it's possible also to connect the start point of a layer to markers as well.
Any guidance here would be hugely appreciated.
