Liquify block AE and work broken

Hi, i have a workstation with Intel i9, 2 GeForce 1080ti in SLI and 64gb of ram, but when i use a Liquify on a simple image AE block, extra lag or broken.

why does this happen despite a very performing PC?

Convert your JPEG to a different format. Apparently JPEG decoding is busted (again) in the latest versions and will have weird side effects.

Impossible to know without any info about your project, effect settings and so on. Screenshots tell a lot and from using an excessively large brush to underlying issues with hardware accelerated decoding of footage there's simply way too many possibilities why this could cause issues. You need to be much more specific.
