Live Update with RubberHose Slow on 1 of 2 Identical Machines

So this is a really unique issue. I'm using RubberHose on two work computers, one of them runs butter smooth, no issues. The other however, runs like crap. Both of them have identical specs and have been kept pretty much identical for the duration of their life.

The issue I'm running into; whenever I try to move the control points of a rig through rubberhose, it lags really badly on one computer. The same for changing any kind of values or anything within a comp.

So far I have;

  • Uninstalled After Effects, restarted, deleted everything related to it and reinstalled it.
  • Purged my cache and such.
  • Reset all of my preferences.
  • Deleted all the plugins and re-installed them.

They both have;

  • 32 GB of RAM
  • GTX 1060 (6GB of Video Ram)
  • Intel i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
  • SSD's which AE, the projects and caches are located on.

I've solved it. Turns out my After Effects was set into Windows 8 Compatibility, which slowed down specifically, the live update features when Rubberhose was turned on. Such a weirdly specific bug.

Have you checked your graphics driver and whatnot? Sounds like a possible issue with fast draft previews and all that stuff.

I didn't have a look right away but, if that were the case wouldn't both of the computers be slow? I'll still make sure they're up to date when I'm back in at the office.
