Looking for a good morphing solution geared towards artists (no film-making).
I have 2 images 1920x1080. They are hand drawn art. I want to create a 5 second morph between the two images. In my efforts so far Luma seems to complete reinterpret my drawings and do its own thing, instead of giving my the pixel-by-pixel standard morph I'd like to achieve (faces turn into human faces and start doing things I don't want them to do). Party of my goal is to do abstract morphing, but most of the AI tools out there try to turn your artwork into more photorealistic movie-like motion. Are there any morph tools that work well as an image tweener like traditional morphing (but ideally take advantage of AI to make smart decisions)? I am told RE: Flex is a good solution - but I think $595 is out of my budget. This is for a project, so I plan to do this quite a bit, but I can't spend that much. I know there are traditional Morph tools (like Fanta Morph) but the tedious method of placing pins for what will ultimately result in well-positioned fades doesn't appeal to me. Too much work considering the amount of work I need to do. Also, for abstract motion, I like how AI allows some portions of the art to "evolve" rather than "fade", but I don't like the fact that the tools I've used so far tend to decide that the characters you've drawn should start behaving in a random way as the tweening happens, and the quilaity of the line art I've drawn and color palettes often get disregarded in the generated project. I guess my dream would be to find a tool that offers AI-based morphing for artists (rather than AI-based morphing for making films). I know I'm asking for a lot. Does anyone have any suggestions (even if it doesn't accomplish everything I'm looking for)? Has anyone had any luck with morphing tools that tween your art without hijacking your design and intent (that doesn't involve lots of tedious pin positioning)? Thanks.
