Lost links of imported AE-Comps and slowly view refreshing

At first here my Setup: Mac Studio (2022) M1 Ultra, 128 GB RAM, System macOS Monterey 12.5.1, AE-Language German.

The compostion issue, with the lost links, came in focus with a lot of project-files I`ve got from a customer with all the same problem. I dont know the work language of his AE-app, but I still guess it couldt be english. The interesting thing is, when I open up it directly in my AE (german) as a standalone project, all connections are still there. But a nother saving and importing it in a nother project makes the issue again. Self generated Comps have apperently not this issue.

The Language difference is also problematicly for expressions. I wish there would be a startoption wich change the keywords of a expression into the actual Languageversion.

The view issue in Typing is the most significant problem for viewrefreshing. It is also in other features like formtool and so on. I make a type, and I see the result so far I change the time or quit the Typetool. I wonder so much because that are not very cpu expensive operations and have been workly fine in the past. I adjust in the preferences the viewing to 'faster' that makes the issue not very much better. I empty the cachfiles so often, bacause this feature also disturbs the workflow. 200 gb are full of very fast and it clears not automaticly the older ones.

Could you share more details on your issue? Are you losing parenting information when a project/compostion is imported? How many times are you importing the same composition in the project?

After Effects not selecting the last character, is a known issue and the team is working on a fix.

For the other issue with text typing, try clearing the media cache and resetting the preferences.

This is a known issues. Importing projects lose parenting info when a reference to a file is used more than once in a project. The rest we cannot gauge. You have not provided any system info or other details like language settings, fonts used etc., so just saying that text editing is a pain is not that useful. Start by checking your hardware acceleration settings and see if it makes things better.
