Adobe, is there a timeframe for silicon ready AE and Encoder? Beta is cool but still useless for most pro work as most plugins don't seem to work.

I got my new mac and oh man, how frustrated it is use any of your programs on it. 😮

I cannot comprehend how slow it is. Sure its not silicon ready but this slow???

Am I doing something wrong, settings, preferences? Christ, I gave AE 58GB of ram and preview is not even responding.

Some info or advice would be great.

Hi Apollo, I've got a 16-inch M1 Max with 64gigs of RAM and so far I've been quite impressed with the speed of After Effects even using Rosetta. I was honestly relieved given troubles I have had in the past. I'm not using the beta so I can't speak to its performance, but on this end the multiframe rendering has been speedy and compressing in Media Encoder so fast I'm honestly startled. I also acknowlege most of my projects are using vector based animation and shape layers in 3D space so they tend to be less taxing overall, but I've also done some 4k rotoscoping and grading and it seemed to go smoothly. Truly sorry for your troubles, I think something may be wrong with the install or perhaps something deeper in the build?
