M1 Max screen redraws stall for over 10 seconds.

Question

Experienced AE user here on 22.01. Just random things like typing text and the last letter will take 5 seconds to appear. Scaling an object and nothing will happen for up to 10 seconds.  It's random, doesn't happen all the time. Teething problems.

Hi John, That's not ideal.Does it happen with a particular project or any project you work with? Are you using any third-party plug-ins? Also, have you tried resetting the preferences of After Effects: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-p/10634342 Let us know.
