Mac update 12.3.1 After Effects error file exists but couldn't open for reading

As mentioned in the title my Mac updated with 12.3.1. Now my After Effects projects load but say an error file exists but couldn't open for reading.

Tried on multiple projects but just get the same.

I've relinked and replaced footage. They relink but arent re-saving or playing.

Have you tried to copy all the files and project into another hard drive? It looks like a permission problems. What is the disk format where you have stored your project file?

Haven't tried that, will try now.

The hard drive is mac formatted.

But its a hard drive thats connected to my mac all the time, why would it suddenly not have permission?

Since macOS Catalina you MUST give permissions to all apps to access and write files into disks. OS asks you when any app is trying to read/write files. Maybe you didn't allow that clicking on the incorrect button.
