Make one Layer Unaffected by Blending Mode

Hello everyone!

I applied a blending mode to the top layer that affects all the layers below.
I need one of these layers to be unaffected by the blending mode, but I can't just move it to the top, it has to be below a certain layer.
So I'm searching for a possibility to make just this one layer unaffected by the blending mode of the top layer.
Is this possible?

Correct answer Mylenium

Don't use Blending modes, use effects like Channel Combiner or Simple Composite. They do the same by referencing another layer regardless of its order in the stack. Just be aware that you may need to resize layers to be the same size for correct results.

    I tried Channel Combiner, that actually works pretty well for what I'm trying to do, so I'll use that for now.

    I can not give you the solution without knowing exactly what is going on in your composition. You have options to pre-compose, create track mattes, rotoscope, re-order layers, use set matte, and probably a dozen other solutions. To make a meaningful suggestion I need to see your comp and timeline with all the layers in one embedded* screenshot and another with the layer you want to isolate soloed so I can see if there is any transparency that can be worked with.

      Thank you for the answer, I appreciate your help!
      First of all, I'm a beginner with very limited experience.

      My composition is a map. The map consists of two vectors: land and water.
      The top layer is a woodboard texture with the blending mode "Color Burn" activated.
      Like this, the water and land layers shine through.
      The layer I want to be unaffected by the texture is the one called "Red Fill".  You can see that the texture is visible on the red fill. So theoretically I could move this layer to the top so that it's above the texture.
      But unfortunately this layer has to be below the water layer, so that it's only visible within the borders of the land (in this case Japan). And the water layer has to be below the texture because I need the texture to be visible on the water.
      This is like a catch-22 situation. 
      The only solution I can imagine is to make the Red Fill unaffected by the Texture, so that it can stay below the water without having the texture on it.

      First picture is all layers, second picture is the Red Fill layer I want to make unaffected.
