Making a skater ride an invisible board

Hi all, I’m brand new to after effects and I’m just looking for the easiest way to make a skater appear to be floating by making the skateboard invisible. So far the only method I’ve seen that works somewhat reliably is clone stamping out the board frame by frame. But it still doesn’t look great, the ground changes texture by each frame.
