Mask paths from Premiere Pro not transfering over to after effects using dynamic link.

Hi guys, I'm fairly new to both programs (after effects and premiere pro) and I'm facing with the issue currently that all of my masks from premiere pro aren't transfering over to after effects, I would like to apply a glow around my characters face but whenever I dynamic link it to after effects a couple mask paths seem to be moving to another place or a clip just disspears for a split second, to give some more information I scaled it bigger first, cut the clips up, sped the footage up,  and then I nested it all together and started masking on top of the nest, does that maybe have anything to do with it? any tips or help would be appreciated since I'm rather clueless at this point and have been trying to fix it for a couple hours, (replacing the masks in after affects didn't fully solve the problem since some of my footage was still dissapearing)

This is normal behavior. Not everything in Premiere comes over to AE.  The best way to use Dynamic Link is to pick one shot that needs effects work you cannot do in Premiere, select that shot and create a comp from the selection, then work on the shot. If the effects are complicated and the shot is going to take a long time to render the best option is to render that shot and import it into Premiere Pro using a suitable production format. Selecting an entire scene or more than one or two shots as a source for a Dynamic Link project is almost always going to be a huge time waster and it's going to bog down PPro so much that you will also be wasting time in the edit.

Maybe someday, but for now that's the way it is. Since you are new you should be spending a lot of time studying the help files and using the Search Help field in After Effects. Throwing AE into an edit potentially increases the complexity of the project by hundreds of times. If you do not have a real solid understanding of the workflow, the UI and the techniques you are going to be wasting a huge amount of time.

Got it, so I will be avoiding using multiple clips for a dynamic link project in the future, if you were in my shoes, how would you go about this issue, restart the entire clip in after effects and edit everything there including masks?

If you need to do FVX in After Effects you should start clean. Basically, almost nothing you do to a clip in Premiere Pro will come over into AE except the in and out points.
