mask problem

 Hello,
I am using Adobe After Effects 2026. I am unable to see the dropdown menu for changing the mask mode (e.g., Add, Subtract, etc.) on the 'Mask 1' line of my layer. Can you help?

      Are you sure your mask is a closed path. Those options are not available if your mask is just a line.

        Hi Can, could you check the bottom-left of your Timeline panel? There are a few small toggle buttons that show/hide columns. Make sure the Layer Switches pane is enabled — if it's disabled, the mask mode dropdown won't show up.
