mask tracking

ok so im new to after effects and imediately noticed that the tracker is total crap or the ai trying to follow it is there anyway i can help the ai by giving it expression to help it track better because honestly its almost ridiculous that a platform so advanced well with red giant cant track and someone that is trying to do really advanced effects or anything that has to do with that tracker is gonna be there for hours. unless im doing something wrong please tell me or adobe hire some coders and tell them to write some code

Without actually seeing the footage you are trying to track its very hard to advise you of the best approach. There are several options for tracking in After Effects, each one made for specific types of shots. It might be the mocha is the best approach for your shot as it does planar tracking. So it's important that you choose the right one for the footage you are tracking. Please upload the footage so we can look at it.

    Also, please try to be courteous and respectful. The engineers at Adobe have created excellent options for tracking. If you are using the wrong one it might just be a case of the workman blaming the tools. After Effects provides basic Mask tracking for quick, easy jobs but also provides Mocha AE for advanced users of After Effects to do planar mask tracking and the Rotobrush tool, Content Aware and Refine Matte tool for complex background removals. Just want to check if you've tried all these options?
