Masks on a shape layer does not animate

Hi,

I tried this on both types of shapes, The Bezier and parametric but whenever I create a mask inside a shape layer it will never animated despite adding keyframes with new positions.

Legend

You are editing the shape items, not the mask. Nothing wrong here. If you want your circle to interact with the nmask, you have to copy & paste it to a second mask and use the classic mask combo modes to create the intersections. There's nothing wrong. Somehwo you just seem to assume that these things would be mutually connected and respond to each other, which isn't the case.

Show us screenshots and provide info about your project. This makes no sense. Why should this not work?

This is what I am trying to achieve:

• create a shape layer
• create a new shape within the same layer and convert it into a shape mask.

• then animated it within the layer so it affects the other shape.
