MASSIVE performance issues with 22.6.0

Recently updated after a while... For the VERY reason things like this rear their heads.
Updated to 22.6.0 and am noticing a MASSIVE performance hit.  i9, 128GB, 3080, m.2 SSDs for days.  Task monitor has CPU useage through the roof when AE is sitting in the background idling.  Whole computer is seizing up to the point where mouse and keyboard response is affected.  Have seen similar behavior on multiple well-spec'd systems with this update.  Unbelievable.

Can you install the latest version of After Effects and see if the issue persists?

22.6.0 was released almost a year ago now. Are you able to update to 23.5, the most recent release? 

 

If not, we'll need more information to help you further. Can you enable logging for AE and collect logs? What version did you upgrade from?Do you have third-party plugins or scripts installed? Does this spin up after you open a particular project or just starting the app, etc?
