Media Encoder not connecting to dynamic link server / now not even queuing anything

Hi all,

Two days ago I updated my Mac OS (Monterey V 12.0.1) and all Adobe apps (After Effects + Media Encoder + Premiere are V 22.0). I wasn't having any problems in After Effects, but yesterday I tried to render a 10 second composition without any success. Yesterday everything was being queued as normal, but once I tried to change the preferences, it never connected to the dynamic link server. So I tried a few workarounds that I found on here: 

- I restarted my computer and reinstalled the apps

- In After Effects: Help --> Enable Logging

(I think this might have messed things up for me even more - I toggled that button, and now I can't even send anything to Media Encoder. The app opens, but my files don't appear in the queue. Can I toggle off that button? I tried toggling it again but the check mark has stayed next to it no matter how many times I try.)

- I also went to Apple --> System Preferences --> Security & Privacy --> Full Disk Access --> toggled Media Encoder 2022

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Thank you! This fixed my problem as well... Maybe it had to do with AE / PR / ME retaining old application preferences? I just updated my creative suite apps to 2022 and then encountered this problem at work.

 

Wasted almost 3 hours exporting videos that were stuck at 100%. Did the workspace reset along with clearing caches and the same project exported in about 24 mins versus 1 hour 30 mins.

I was facing the same problem yesterday which I solved it by resetting the workspace in media encoder. I know it sounds silly but it works for me 🙂

Would you mind testing if it happening with the newly created projects as well? Also, please try resetting the preferences of After Effects and see if that brings any change: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-p/10634342
