Media Encoder won’t encode

Hi! So I'm having an issue exporting my files. When I click 'Add to Adobe Media Encoder' on ae 2020, it will open ame up but won't queue anything. So I've tried just adding my project from my files but AME stays stuck on 'connecting to project'. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling AME but nothing seems to work. Please help!
