Media Replacement Flicker

Hi!

I've got a layer that I have exposed to media replacement in one of my mogrts. For some of the editors that use the graphic, they have this odd flicker that happens. It doesn't seem to happen on every export, but it's frequent enough that it is causing disruption.

We're using the both Premiere Pro and After Effects 25.0 and are using Macs.

I've had this issue spanning different versions of AE and PR (running M2 Max Mac Studio, 32gb) across several MOGRTS. I haven't found a solution yet but I've found some correlation in search for a solution.

The issue seems to be more consistent with the size of the AE composition than with the resolution of the source media. One MOGRT I use frequently has a media replacement function for a series of brand logos I put in the top left corner - that has occasional flicker issues, but it's definitely rarer.

But with a recent MOGRT I created I had a larger pre-comp for my media replacement. I used footage and JPGs that ranged from 720p to 4k - they all flickered often and with the same frequency.

I tend to find the issue occures not with the resolution of the composition or source but how it is scaled in the export. Again, I haven't found a solution but hopefully this'll help get to the bottom of the wider issue.

Thanks for writing in, RocketBill.

From which application the editors are exporting and getting this issue? Are they all on Mac or Windows as well? Could you share the system specs of the machines? Also, share a screenshot of the export setting.

We're here to help.

Thanks,
Nishu

We're exporting from Premiere Pro.

Everyone is using Macs, most people have M3 Pro machines with 16GB RAM.

Hopefully this shows our export settings correctly.

Also, the images that we are adding into the media replacement zone are png format
