I have recently upgraded my PC and reinstalled the latest version of AE. I now don't have the menu option File > Scripts > Open Script Editor. Can anyone tell what I need to do to get in order to develop and debug scripts.

Many thanks.

The dropdown in the upper left corner that says "ExtendScript Toolkit CC" should have a list of all the apps you can connect to.

You can switch to VS Code (with the ExtendScript Debugger extension) or, just create a desktop shortcut to the ExtendScript Editor (probably located here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit CC\ExtendScript Toolkit.exe"), launch it manually and link it to AE.

Thanks for the reply. I can launch the toolkit manually - how do I link it to AE such that I can debug my code? Thanks.
