I just downloaded the new version of AE.
2 issues...

1. It wiped out my Saved Workspace. Is there any way to Export/Import to migrate workspaces from version to version

2. I was able to dock it in the previous version I was able to dock panel from File/Scripts into my Workspace.
In this version, it won't dock.

On a IMac

Running Mojave

    Hi kloy53,

Thanks for reaching out. the customized workspaces are saved as .xml files. You can copy the workspaces from one version to another. Have a look at this article: https://forums.creativecow.net/docs/forums/post.php?forumid=2&postid=1025885&univpostid=1025885&pview=t

    Mac OS:  [drive]/Users/[user_name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/16.0/ModifiedWorkspaces

All you need to do is copy the content from the modified workspaces inside 16.0 folder and paste it to the same location inside 16.1 folder.

Note: After Effects should be closed while doing it.

    Hope it'll help.

    Thanks,

    Shivangi

    this article is from 2012.
I don't see this path on my Mac. There is no Library folder in User/(username)

There are actually three Libraries on Mac.

    1) OS X Library (for the system)

    2) User Library (for all users)

    3) Individual User Library.

Here is a screenshot that may help you to identify the folder I am talking about.

You may access this folder by following this method.

On the top Finder menu, Click on Go > Go to folder

    Type this command: " ~/Library "

The Tilde(~) symbol is important for accessing the User Library.

Let me know if it works now.
