Missing level in rendered video

Question

Hello,

I've cut out a moving person from a video using the roto brush tool and added a new backgroud. In the preview, everything looks like it shoud. But as soon as I start the rendering, the cut out person disappears and only the background is displayed. Also, the rendered video only contains the background. Is there any beginner mistake that I made?

Your preview image isn't showing your composition, you're looking at the roto'd version of your MP4. At the top-left of your Comp panel, switch to your "ICI" composition and the results will likely match your render. Then you can figure out what's missing and add the character back in.
