Hello guys,

I am using masking/Roto/Brush for glow effect. However, after coping the effects(brushes) from main clip to the solid (and deleting/hiding from the main clip). When I switch the mode to screen. The glow effect is happening but the screen is not appearing. It is still pitch black with effects. I tried various manipulation but still nothing is working. Stuck in this. Pleas help.

You are in the layer viewer, not the composition.

Agree with Rick. A screenshot of the timeline and composition window would help to clarify.

Hey Mylenium,

Sorry for that unclear message. As you can see in the screenshot. I am able to bring effect on the solid however, after bringing the screen mode. I still cannot see the clip applied on the solid with effect. I hope you got what I mean this time. Else I would try again.

Thanks

Without a screenshot showing the modified properties of your layers, it is nearly impossible to diagnose your problem. Select all layers, press 'uu' to reveal all modified properties, and embed* a screenshot.

Typically I would use the Rotobrush layer as a track matte for another layer. From what I gather you want to cut something out of a footage layer, then add some kind of glow effect between the original footage layer and the masked layer (Rotobrushed copy). If you were adding paint strokes to the layer with the glow then you can use Set Matte to pull transparency from the Rotobrush Layer or duplicate the masked layer (rotobrush) again and use it as a track matte for your layer with the strokes.

I have no idea what "(and deleting/hiding from the main clip)" means. You have just asked me to give you an estimate, order the parts and repair your car and you have only told me that you were in an accident. I don't even know what fender is dented.
