Question

Mogrt creation - Menus - Any way I can clean this up?

Building weather mogrt and it works just fine.  Because of the number of dropdown choices and entries, it's LONG in Essential Graphics for Premiere.  Adobe as usual wastes incredible amounts of space in every UI, but just thought I'd ask if anyone knows of a way to do this better.  Grouping is fine but doesn't solve the problem, albeit a small one.  Thanks.

How many graphics do you have? If there are ten graphics, then a Drop-down Menu for each day would be more efficient.

What about angle controls with an expression to edit the temperature range? A stack of dropdown menus with angle controls may take less space and be easier to use.

What a clever idea.  Thanks!

Hi @Ajed,

You do have some options available:

  1. You can use two separate subgroups to separate the Graphics and the Temperatures that way it's only a stack of 7 in each subgroup

  2. Or you can use Slider controls with a range for the temperatures instead of text inputs, seeing as you're not allowing access to font properties.

This will reduce the height on the 14 controls since sliders take up less height. Editors can still type in the value into the hottext if they like.

There's some other solutions that would use some complex expressions that could make the mogrt rather slow, so it's a balancing act of what UI you want versus the user experience it will create.

Cheers,

Theresa

That's an interesting idea, might be worth a shot.  Thanks!

For the record, it's one of the best tools Adobe has released.
