Mogrt text changes position when brought onto Premiere timeline

Well this is a new error. When importing a mogrt with text, the text jumps midscreen when brought on to the timeline. Even though the text is in the correct spot even in the template thumbnail!

No worries, I fixed it. But I think this still reveals a bug with mogrts.

The text was precomped, in the precomp there was an expression in the ypos of the text that referenced a different composition. Removing that expression fixed my problem.

However I believe there's no reason why this should break in this way. There was no expression error. The composition functioned normally in After Effects. The thumbnail appeared to have the text in the correct place. There was only an error when the template was placed on the Premiere timeline. I don't understand why this would break when the expression referenced another composition in the same project.

Show us a screenshot of the AE project with everything that you've modified showing in the timeline and the essential graphics panel.

Every nested comp you use in a MOGRT must be listed in the ECP. That makes perfect sense to me and is not a bug anymore than breaking a project by deleting one of the comps used in the main comp from the Project Panel.

When I use Essential Graphics on a complex project I always check the flow chart to make sure everything is connected as it should be. It's easy to miss something.

My first guess is that the MOGRT was created in a comp with a different frame size than the frame size in the Premiere Pro sequence. Size matters.

You have shown us the problem but given no information at all about how the MOGRT was created.

Both the AE composition and the Premiere sequence are the same size (1920x1080).

I'm unsure what information would help here -- there are no keyframes or expressions at all on the ypos of the text layers. They're not parented to anything. Everything works perfectly in AE. Why would importing a template into a Premiere sequece change the ypos of this graphics template?
