Morph Effect

I want to convert a liquid shape I created with pen tool to a text, 

I converted the text to outline to get the path.

And I tried copying the text path i.e outline, to the path of the shape I created

It's not changing

 

Any help on this, please

    Did you set a path keyframe for the text shape path, then move down the timeline before you tried to set a keyframe for your liquid layer and then cut or paste it to the text path?

     

    When you converted text to a path did you get more than one. The letter "T" would give you one path, but the letter A or O would give you 2. 

     

    Dragging a screenshot to the reply field instead of attaching it using the "Drag and Drop here..." would be helpful you selected both layers, pressed the "u" key twice to reveal all modified properties. Cropped screenshots or screenshots that don't show us what is going on in the timeline are pretty useless for diagnosing problems.

     

    If you are following some kind of Morph tutorial, a link to the tutorial would also be helpful.

    I set a keyframe for the liquid path and also set a keyframe for the text path, I then copied the text path keyframe and moved 10 frames forward to paste the text path keyframe on the liquid path layer.

     

    It didn't work 

    And yes, it was a letter “U” having two paths, and I used the main path that's most visible.

    Are you telling me that the path did not animate or that it looks awful? Without a lot of prep work, the animation is going to look awful. If the path did not animate, then you did not copy the keyframe properly, or the path was not selected when you hit "Paste." 

     

    The vertices move in a straight line from one keyframe to another. If the first vertex in the U shape is in the top left corner of the shape and the first vertex of the liquid is at the bottom right corner, the bottom left corner of the liquid is going to move to the top left corner of the U, and all of the other points are going to do the same thing crossing in a straight line and making a mess of the whole thing. 

     

    To get a decent-looking animation, you will have to ensure that there is the same number of vertices in the U and in the Liquid and that the first vertex is in the same general location.  You will also probably have manually adjust some of the positions halfway between the first two keyframes.

     

    There are better options for making one shape look like it morphs into another. I don't have time to post a workflow or an example right now, but if I stumble across a good tutorial on the process that does not involve a third-party effect, I'll post it.
