Motion Blur with AE 3d Camera

Hello,

I'm trying to add motion blur to the video attatched - specifically I'd like the white text to "streak" as the camera moves inward. How do I best achieve this?

Cheers

Apply an effect like Trapcode Shine or CC Starburst. There is no way to get any natural blur on such a slow movement.

Thanks! Do I put that effect on an adjustment layer over the whole project?

If the white text is a separate layer, put the effect on the layer. An adjustment layer will make changes to every pixel under it, so anything on the moving background will be distorted/blurred and modified.

You should only use adjustment layers when you want to modify every layer below the adjustment layer. An example of that would be final color grading in a shot or adding grain to the final render to make the shot look more like a movie than a video game.

Pre-composing several layers and adding effects to the pre-comp to blend effects is a good way to get control of the components that you need to layer.

I hope this helps you design your animations, composites, and visual effects efficiently.
