Motion Path not showing in composition window

Question

New to after effects, ive animated a text to bounce around the screen. For some reason I'm not seeing the motion path though, I have it turned on in the display settings to "show all key frames". Any help with how to mess with the motion path? When I've used AE in the path I was able to just see the path and modify it, now not so much. Is that to do with the version of AE that I'm using? Im on 24.5

Try pressing Shift + Ctrl/Cmnd + h

That's the shortcut to show and hide layer controls.

If that does not work, click the little menu (three lines) to the right of the Composition Panel/ Composition Name and check your View Options.
