Hello from Berlin! I work for a music video but I got still problems I tried with mocha a motion tracking but after I set my points and tracked it forward the clip is still struggling around the screen and bounce after I copied and render it to after effects.

I just want to add a pic and replace the billboard picture...

By the way the full screen on the original video flimmers could that be the reason why?

Orginal Video: MusicVideo.mp4 - Google Drive

Frame: Frame.jpg - Google Drive

What the tracking does: Ohne Titel.mp4 - Google Drive

The mask I'll add after I solved the problem

I really need help and thanks to everyone who supports me!

How did you end up completing this effect, GermanMouses? Please let us know.

Thanks,

Kevin

All good advice - just one more here. You'll need to understand the mechanics and workflow, within mocha, to track occluded objects. And of course STAY WAY from animating surfaces as a choice for obtaining tracking data.

Lots of relevant tutorials can be found online. Stick to official mocha/BorisFX tutorials to obtain consistent/best results -

Just a quick note, make sure the track of the person is the layer above the track of the billboard. Just a mocha order of operations thing.

I would use this technique:

Ifr Rick's solution doesn't work, you probably shot this on a phone without using an app that forces phones to shoot at fixed frame rates and not variable frame rates.  If that's true, get busy and shoot it over again.  With the app.

when you track the billboard, make sure you create a hold out matte in the center so you are tracking just the edges, and add another one for the person obscuring the billboard. example here

:

something like this would work:
after trial and error, I would not track the screen inside but go around it. the interlaced footage inside is messing up the tracker so it's best to avoid it.
