Try rolling back your nvidia driver to studio version 572.83 or 572.60. I used DDU to uninstall and reinstalled via the nvidia driver page and this was the only solution that got AE to work with a 5090.

Hi martina83017360,

I've branched your comment into a new conversation.

Can you share more details? Are there any error messages or crash reports? Is there a specific action/command that triggers the crash? Are you working with Nvidia G-Sync enabled? If so, can you check if disabling it helps?

Let me know.

Thanks,
Nishu

Hello, ill try to disable it.
Mostly when doing mulit frame rendering, it renders like 10 frames pretty fast, and then goes to a complete halt not rendering anything at all. This is where i need to force quit after effects, which is not possible. So I need to do a complete restart.
I also have a m2 macBook pro that runs consitently, and can render the same project with multicore rendering, so it seems to be a pc/nvidia issue.
