Multi-Frame Rendering Not Initiating At Export

Question

I just installed the latest version (I've been on 2020 for forever) and I heard about Multi-Frame Rendering. The option is checked in my preferences, and I definitely have multiple cores. When I'm exporting though it just doesn't do its thing. No green bar, no acceleration, just the same old rendering output.

Am I missing something here?

Without any exact system info and details such as contents of the project, render settings, settings for caches and so on nobody can tell you much. The old running gag of AE applies: It's pretty easy to effectively disable any fancy acceleration features by using a certain effect or feature. You could be using an incompatible effect or an output settings and suddenly things revert back to good old "slow as molasses" AE...
