Multiple Text Animators: Combine character and word anchor point groupings

I've looked around for an answer to this one, but I can't find one.

I want to use two text animators on one piece of text, usually no problem. In this case I want the first animator to make the characters to fly in individually, and the second to make the words dance around on screen. To get the characters to animate in, I need to use character-based anchor point grouping, but to have the words dancing around I need to use word-based anchor point grouping. Unfortunately, the setting for anchor point grouping is outside the animators and applies to all animators on the layer universally. Is there a way around this?
