Must restart Mac computers to get newly installed fonts to show

I have a classroom full of students. Every time we install a font (either through the online system or using local fonts through Font Book) they are having to restart the entire computer for AE to recognize them. Any advice? We are using Sonoma 14.6.1 and AE 24.5.0 (Build 52).
