my adobe softwares

Hey guys i have ryzen 5 3600 and gtx 1660 super
my adobe softwares like after effect / premier pro / illustrator lags a lot and most of the times crashes while in lag what can i do it used to work fine but now days its been happening i tried multiple fixes like deleting temp files reinstalling adobe installed studio driver can someone help me find the issue

Hi,

Thanks for the question. Have you tried transcoding or the proxy workflow? Since AMD processors do not have Quick Sync, certain footage can lag a lot, especially 4K HEVC. Are you able to use hardware acceleration? Let us know more details.

hello 

and yes i use proxy workflow i am aware that it helps but in my case thats not working as well i even tried removing plugings if plugins were the issue but unfortunately its not the case also its been more than 3 years to my pc i built this in early 2021 is it the time to upgrade ???

How much RAM do you have? What exactly do you mean by lag? Is it the interface that lags? Does it happen with all the projects? Can you test on a new project? Are you working off of an external or network storage? Try clearing the cache or After Effects and Premiere Pro. Also, ensure some free space in the C drive.
