My AE crashes while rendering

Hi! I was recently trying to clear out space on my computer and deleted my cache folder. My AE would not render, it would start, and then at around 65% in it would just close the app. I assumed this was because my Cache folder did not exist. I updated my computer and found that there is an existing cache folder so I attempted to render and the same thing happened. I can't contact support because this account is through my school. Does anyone know what is causing this or how I can fix it?

Sorry for your issue. Please share the following details so that we can troubleshoot the issue properly.

  • Are you exporting using Media Endoer or the After Effects Render Queue?
  • Do you see any error message?
  • What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version) and the exact version of After Effects you're using?
  • Please some details on your project. Are there any effects and third-party plug-ins used?
