My After Effects (25.0.1) won’t launch on new Macbook M4

Specs:

MacBook Pro – M4 Pro – Nov 2024

24 GB Memory

1 TB SSD

Please help!

My After Effects (25.0.1) won’t launch! 😞

I bought my MacBook a couple of weeks back, so it’s brand new and I’ve just installed Creative Cloud and the various apps. Now it simply won’t launch After Effects. I’ have only opened it once, just for a quick view and it worked fine. And I haven’t worked on any projects, added plug-ins … so it’s totally new and crisp. So I really don’t understand it!?

I thought everything would run smoothly on a brand new Macbook!

My InDesign also crashes on launch (so maybe there’s some kind of connection)

After Effects first shows the black dialogue box with the 4 options (see screen_1 image)

No matter which button I click – it shows this: (see screen_2 image).

I really don’t get it!

• I have tried uninstall/reinstall
• Restart computer
• I cant’ launch previous versions either 😞

I had a long session with Adobe support, and we created a new user, and when I logged in as the new user I was able to open After Effects. But as you probably can understand, I don’t want to shift between admin-user and a different user.

Hopefully someone can help me, I’m desperate!
