Every single time I try to render my video, it's only comes out in a mp3 file.
How do I fix this? It worked the first time I tried to render, but haven't worked since.
I use music in the background, which is an avi file. Is that the problem?

how do I fix this?

What are your settings when you render? Maybe share a screenshot?

Are you rendering straight from After Effects? Or are you sending your Comp to Media Encoder?

If you are outputting via Adobe Media Encoder;

Drag the Render preset you want to use (EG Match Source - High Quality for MP4) onto the item in the Queue before rendering.

If you are outputting via the Render Queue;

When you Adjust your Output Module settings, make sure to choose Video and Audio and select the appropriate codec and format from the drop down menus.

If you don't understand any of this I'd advise you to refer to the Adobe After Effects User manual to learn about rendering 🙂
